Disciples of Jesus: City Reformers and Master Builders Rising

“Disciples of Jesus” is a call to this generation to “cross the Jordan into the Promised Land.” To cross over, there must be a shift in thinking—a change of mind that sees us not merely as followers of Jesus but as disciples of Jesus.

Scripture draws a distinction between “the multitudes that followed Jesus” and “the disciples that came to Jesus.” The disciples that came to Jesus were equipped and sent out with transforming power to change culture. Through the renewing of their minds, they were lifted into the Kingdom realm of consciousness—the realm responsible for bringing change on earth the Jesus way. It was the disciples of Jesus that fed the 5000, and it will be the disciples of this generation that will be called upon to feed the multitudes.

At present, church leadership has created a model that has largely grown followers. The church Jesus built produced disciples. Disciples carry only the information “of the Kingdom.” The message of the Kingdom is the missing link between the works of a follower of Jesus and the works of a disciple.

The greater works generation is upon us, but we need leaders who are willing to be baptized into Jesus’s model of making disciples. It requires laying down the present model of merely maintaining followers and intentionally developing disciples of Jesus.

May the brave arise! May the courageous one’s step up so that Jesus may become “the desire of the nations” and “all the people of the earth will be blessed.” It will require disciples of Jesus in order to fulfill the Great Commission!
